Inspired by the lyric “you can come live with me and we can be pirates.” This piece captures the pure escapism and safety of childhood. It shows two kids completely consumed by their own imagination, safely locked away from the shattered, complicated world of adults. It’s a snapshot of dreaming freely and finding a haven in a made-up quest.
